Summer 2020

Small farm town turned modern wine country community, hospitality is showcased in this charming city. Restaurants aren’t the only places to enjoy a fantastic meal! In the downtown area, Williamson Wines offers an elegant but approachable wine and food pairing. To the south, off of Old Redwood Hwy, taste at J Winery for a luxurious culinary experience and sparkling wines. If heading out the Dry Creek Valley in Healdsburg, Chateau Diana showcases wine slushies and snacks, and Comstock Wines offers pizzas and wine pairings. Throughout Healdsburg there are just too many wineries to mention that offer picnics and pairing options.

Healdsburg is a fertile wine growing region encompassing the Russian River, Dry Creek Valley, and Alexander Valley wine AVAs. The agricultural history of this valley is rich with prunes, pears, and generations of family farms. When meandering around Healdsburg, you’ll see old-growth redwood trees and luscious vineyards. There are plum trees, lemon trees, and orange trees lining the residential neighborhoods. Along the Russian River wild asparagus, fennel, and bay trees dot the landscape. If in-the-know, you may find chanterelles and other edible wild mushrooms in the rich soils of Healdsburg.
