Summer 2020
Windsor has a fantastic network of regional parks, all a part of the county’s regional parks system. Foothills Regional Park, Shiloh Ranch Regional Park, and Riverfront Regional Park surround the city. Whether it be fishing, hiking, or horseback riding, Windsor trails offer it all. The foothills have fishing and wildlife observation that includes water fowl, bobcats, and even the occasional bear or mountain lion. The Shiloh Ranch Park is just outside of the city with breathtaking views. The Shiloh park lies just south of the exclusive Mayacama Golf Club. Riverfront Park is on the opposite side of the city. This park includes river access and an incredible towering redwood tree grove with picnic benches.
Windsor is a city that is surrounded by parks, vineyards, and farmland. The city center is the Town Green Park. The local boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops, congregated around the park are almost all worth a visit. The park hosts most local events including a Thursday night summer concert series. There is also a fantastic farmer’s market on Thursday afternoons and Sunday mornings. The perfect place to pick-up your picnic fixings. The local cheeses, fruits, hand pies, and fresh-baked breads are just a few of the market’s offerings.
